I tried this place for lunch after passing it a few times. A phenomenal lunch Buffett. If you are looking for great service or atmosphere, go somewhere else. If you want great food this is the place to go. I do not understand the negative reviews. A must try for lunch! Such a great deal for a buffet with amazing food. I loved everything and I am a very picky eater. Hope this helps!

I am rating this place only based on its thai food.. specifically the yellow curry. This been the best thai food I have had since I lived over on the west coast. For a mere 8 dollars American they will kick you in the face with flavor and make it spicier than a topless thai pole dancer. Word. Bonus: the tea luck lounge is within walking distance..

I've eaten here twice now, once for dinner and once for lunch (the buffet). For dinner, I ordered a curry dish. The portion was quite ample, and the spice level provided a nice tasty heat without being overpowering. By the time I finished the dish, I was stuffed. Overall, the curry dish was a nice treat, though not a superior example of Thai food. The lunch buffet was disappointing. My wife called ahead to ask if it included both Thai food and BBQ, to which a positive reply was given. The only BBQ offering consisted of chicken legs covered in sauce. There were only a handful of Thai food offerings. They were all decent, though nothing spectacular. The fresh spring rolls (w/ rice paper) lacked crispness and freshness. The fried spring rolls were good, and the cheese rolls proved to be a treat.

They don't have bbq. It.s Thai food. There are a couple of things on the menu under the heading of bbq but the "chopped pork sandwich" could best be described as a sloppy joe. I don't eat Thai food so I can't remark on whether what all the other food we had was good or not. I didn't care for it. The fish was overcooked. Facility was dirty. Service was poor.

Not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical when my friend asked me if I wanted to get Thai for dinner and then pulled into what looked like a shack on the side of the road. Walking inside, it didn't looked like the dining area was used much. We both ordered the chicken pad thai which came with a veggie spring roll. Since I still didn't know how I felt about this place based on its appearance, I figured I'd go with my friend's usual order here. The pad thai was much better than I expected - good flavor and they give you enough to make two meals out of it. I've had lots of Thai food before and while I've had better, this was pretty good for what it was.

I don't dig thai, but my date does. And as a compromise we went to Daddy's. Why, because they have bbq. Driving up on a Saturday afternoon there was not a single car in sight and we were deathly afraid it was closed, and we would have to eat elsewhere. But alas, no, we were just the only patrons who wanted a thai / bbq experience. I'm exhausted trying to write this review- you ever know what you want to say but can't get it out cause you just don't care? Thats where I am right now. HUGE pressure to get an appetizer. No. again, NO THANK YOU. He got pad thai. I got ribs. They only have pork bbq, and the sauce is nothing to write home about. They were super tender but boring as hell. Nonexistent service, blaring tvs everywhere (well... it was the OU game and we were kicking ass so I guess its not that bad). They do get 1 extra star for their tomato salad... best part of my meal. But as Fleetwood mac said, "never going back again. " youtube.com/watch?v=qxfx…

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday. Decent prices, friendly service, horrible BBQ. I ordered BBQ chicken, with baked beans and cucumber salad. Take-out. They added some BBQ ribs. Chicken was dry and chewy, ribs tough and bland. Sauce was sickly sweet and thin. Beans ok, but salad was obviously well past it's prime. The meal was like eating week old leftovers, from a school cafeteria. Don't stop, just drive on by.

Daddy's is NOT the place for ribs. Such an incredibly misleading name. By far the worst barbecue I've ever had the displeasure of eating. Flat out disgusting. It's a little hole in the wall restaurant, which are typically the best places to eat, so I jumped at the thought of eating here. I took one bite of my pulled pork sandwich, used all of my effort to swallow and stomach it, and quickly asked for the check. No exaggerations. It was just absolutely terrible. It was hardly pulled pork, rather some mystery meat with a weird texture and appearance. As far as taste, it was such an odd bbq flavor and it was so incredibly salty, you'd think a jug of salt fell into their sauce mixture. I feel like the red flag should have been that it serves both thai and bbq. I'm not sure what made me think that a place serving drastically different cuisines would be able to master either of them, or come anywhere near it.

For the couple times I've been here, its the best Thai place I've found so far.. It's not a big fancy building kind of more like a shack. It's FREEZING there during the winter so don't recommend that. Personally I like the food butI have found that the Thai spiciness is inconsistent. It's probably because the chef's do change, and people never really know how "spicy" they really want it. Nonetheless, they have all the side required to make it to your desired hotness. Never have I ordered something that was too hot. Anyways, the food is awesome, great big servings, and its Thai and BBQ! The service isn't always up to par, but I love the food :)

Another no frills restaurant with good food. I used to eat the BBQ until they changed owners & started serving Thai food, now that's all I ever get. My favorite is the special #5. Can't remember the name of the dish other than it has Pad Thai in the title. It's Pad Thai with a slightly different sauce. Very good stuff, I always get it with shrimp.

Was looking forward to eating some good BBQ since everyone raves about this place. One of the guys I went with was last there 2004. Walked in and found it to be new owners. Now they added a thai food buffet for $6.99 on top of the buffet. It was ok. As for the BBQ, didn't have any but others ordering it around us made it look good. Only thing is there is no scent of BBQ cooking and I know when you BBQ, you can smell it for miles. Thai food buffet was ok. 2 meat dishes, rest was rice and carbs.

Oh wow, I don't know what happened to this place. I liked it the first time I went there but since then the quality has gone way down. The food is inconsistent. I ordered the same thing and it tastes like its something else. They keep changing the ingredient and how they prepare the dishes. I ordered the same dish, Pad see ew, and it was awful! I asked it for it to be Thai spicy; what I got was noodles just drenched in soy sauce, it was almost inedible, and it was not even spicy at all. My bf ordered the soup Tom Kha Gai, and it just tasted like soy sauce soup. We could not finish it, it was that bad. What happened to this place? Did they get a new chef? It used to be decent, sure there are better Thai restaurants in Fort Walton, but this was closer to my house and was convenient. I do not recommend this place, I will not be going back.

Friendly service and freakin amazing ribs. The Thai food was a little off but we could give it another chance. I want more of those ribs!

I went here because my friend had been dreaming of the honey pork all week. I ordered it too and it did not disappoint. The meat was tender but grilled so the outside was a little crisp and it was glazed in a honey garlic sauce and served over fried rice. It' immediately became one of my new favorite foods. This is probab;y one of the best-priced restaurants in the area and the service is quick.

We have been vacationing in this area for the last 20 plus years. Daddy's is in our list every time we visit. This place is a listen gem. Their Thai food is excellent! The crab Rangoon are not the ordinary version but are in the form of an egg roll... Delicious! Pad Thai is awesome and the honey pork is fabulous. Definitely with a visit!

Ribs? Actually didn't try them because we went for the Thai (in our search for authentic Thai cuisine in FWB and its surrounds). As with many restaurants...this one passes the basic test - fundamentally good, but not outstanding. Tom Yum Kai Soup was just too salty and did not have the fruity acidity we expected. The Pad Kra Paw had a nice basil flavor, but very, very little heat. (I don't remember being asked what "level" I might want, and so, this came across as a bit bland.) Atmosphere was quaint, rather dimly lit, but interesting far-East decor. Very congenial wait staff and a very reasonable price. Yes, we'll probably be back--probably to try the ribs...but the search for "our" special Thai place in FWB continues for now.

Why the bad reviews?! They obviously don't come from people who know good food, good Thai food or good BBQ. If they did, the reviews would be much better. Amazing place! Amazing food! Don't be discouraged by the outside appearance! Great Thai food, I'm from NYC and have had plenty of Thai to be a good judge. Great BBQ as well. Cozy spot! You won't regret it!
